If you don’t work you don’t eat…

I’ve done a lot of things over the years.

I was a paper boy

I worked at the Wheels Inn in Chatham, Ontario in highschool (which is no more) it was an indoor amusement park, a great job when you’re 15!

After that I worked at Sobey’s the grocery store as a bag boy. I know it’s not the most flattering title but it was definitely the best job there. Everyone else had to stay in their department while bag boys got to roam free around the store..aww the memories!

While I worked at Sobey’s at got a job at Batory which is a chocolate factory in Chatham, and no, it was nothing like Willy Wonka, pretty much the exact opposite. It was probably the most labour intensive job I have ever had. I was lifting about 10 tonnes of milk powder and chocolate a day, I lost a lot of weight there (this is not the kind of chocolate you wanted to eat).

Then I went off to college and went through a stream of call centers. Wow, that sucked!

I did outbound selling and inbound customer service for two different companies.

I was a great seller, but hated it and I was a great tech support agent, but hated the RIDICULOUS things they would make you do with people on the phone.

I am mean come on! If someone calls me to get something fixed, they want it fixed so they can get off the phone and back to their lives, not to sit and listen to me give a 5 minute monologue on how great the service was, even though it broke which is why they are calling me.

I now (thank you Jesus) work at an insurance company as a web designer and developer. I work with a ton of wonderful people and it is the best job I have ever had.

Recently in my off time, in an effort to replace my wife’s income so she doesn’t have to go back to work, I have become an internet marketer. And I must say, this is the most fascinating thing I have ever done.

The mix of technology, psychology and opportunity is amazing. I have worked extremely hard at it all year and I’ve been talking with some people at work about what I do and it’s been helpful for them so I decided to create a whole nothing site teaching the ins and outs of this industry.
